Shyna is a 14 year old Fijian girl who suffers from a complicated combination of Cherubism and Neurofibromatosis. This has resulted in an overgrown lower jaw and an enlarged upper jaw that has pushed her eyes upwards.

She has had a number of proceedures in Fiji to her teeth and gums and it is hoped that surgery will give her more balanced facial proportions but also clearer speach and make it easier for her to eat.

Joel is an 11 year old Ugandan boy. He has a tumour that has progessively destroyed his nose and pushed his eye out of alignment, without treatment this will start to affect his sight.

We hope to bring Joel to the UK within the next couple of months.

Mohammed is 13 years old and was diagnosed locally in Northern Ethiopia with Leishmaniasis. This disease has destroyed his nose and affected the skin of his lower face. Mohammed was referred to us by the Kindu Trust.

Mohammed came to us in 2007 for final diagnosis and treatment of his disease prior to receiving a new nose. After extensive examination Mohammed was diagnosed with cutaneous TB. He has since been treated and is recuperating at home. We hope he will be back with us for his next and last stage in the next couple of months.
